“It just came to our notice then. As soon as the holidays come, the whole town runs out of water. That was the case on Sunday (Feb 14 – Aut. Past). It’s the same today (Feb 16 – Aut. Past), ”he said. 15 minutes Karolis, a resident of Rumšiškės, submitted his application.

The old man wanted patience and understanding.

Old woman from Rumšiškės Eugenija Genevičienė 15 minutes informed that the eldership has not received any complaints about the water supply in the city of Rumšiškės, as it is not responsible for the water supply, this service is provided by Kaišiadorių vandenys.

“The old man does not influence this company by the performance of his work,” said the older.

However, he acknowledged that there were indeed problems with the water supply on both February 14 and February 16. For a time, the entire city of Rumšiškės had no hot or cold water, where 1,789 residents have declared their place of residence.

“As far as we know, the supply was resumed a few hours after the notification was received. This is not a common problem. It occurs in the event of a power outage or unforeseen failure.

Service providers always try to fix the problem as soon as possible so that the population suffers as little inconvenience as possible. The complaints of our population often arise out of intolerance, unwillingness to understand that everything is mechanized, electrified, details break, break, need to be repaired, and it takes time. I wish you all understanding and patience. ” 15 minutes E. Genevičienė assured.

In the event of a fault, the protection system is activated.

His 15 minutes Audrius Buzys, Director of Kaišiadorių Vandenai, who spoke in 2006, explained in detail why the people of Rumšiškės sometimes run out of water. These latest failures will cost the company several thousand euros.

“Everyone uses a computer at home or at work. We are justifiably angry when it gets stuck, it stresses us out. Technology breaks down regardless of the time of day or day, which makes it especially unpleasant when it breaks down during the Christmas season and makes even the most beautiful holidays of all of us. The same is true when water treatment equipment fails. The only difference is that the consequences of such failures are greater “, began his comment A. Buzys.

According to him, all the employees of Kaišiadorys Waters are aware of the inconveniences that arise when the water disappears, because they are residents of the Kaišiadorys region and experience all the problems that the residents face. That is why, according to A. Buzis, everyone makes a sincere effort to make these things happen as little as possible, and if it already happens, they do everything possible to eliminate the fault as soon as possible.

The director of Kaišiadorys Vandenai explained the reasons for this unpleasant situation during the last vacation.

“The water treatment plants are complex. In them, only one circuit is the computer. There are also electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, hydraulic equipment, etc. In water treatment plants, all these circuits are combined into a single circuit. A failure in one of the circuits could cause unpredictable water pressure, irreparably damaging repair equipment, blowing boilers, boilers, and pipes in consumer homes. In the best case, an accident would occur in outdoor plumbing networks.

Technology breaks down regardless of the day of the week or the time of day. Therefore, the Kaišiadorys Vandenai employees try to protect the population from major problems and respond immediately to failures. In the event of a failure in one of the circuits, the protection is activated and the system stops working. It is usually enough to restart the machine and the system begins to work more ”, explained the interlocutor.

The valve did not work

In order to react to failures as quickly as possible, the company has hired a local person to maintain the Rumšiškės water management, who, according to A. Buzys, copes perfectly with simple failures.

On 14 February, at 9.55 am, the first telephone notification from a Rumšiškės resident about the lack of water was recorded at the Kaišiadorys Vandenai dispatch center. According to the director of Kaišiadorių Vandenai, the envoy to a company employee living on the spot quickly eliminated the fault. After a couple of hours, the town’s water began to supply the required pressure. The cause of the failure is a valve that has failed due to a controller failure.

On February 16, at 10 am, a message was recorded in the control room that the water had disappeared in Rumšiškės.

Buying and building a new controller will cost the company about 2 to 3,000 euros.

“It just came to our knowledge then. It was found that the water was not re-supplied due to a valve failure, the failure of which was caused by a failure of the controller itself. The failure was remedied and at 10.40 am the supply of water at the required pressure.

Despite the fact that this controller was changed in 2018, the decision was made to replace it with a new one. As such a controller does not currently exist in Lithuania, it was ordered, and specialists who arrived on February 17 found a temporary solution on how to supply water without disturbances. By the way, the acquisition and construction of a new controller will cost the company about 2 or 3 thousand euros ”, assured A. Buzys.

According to him, there have been brief interruptions to the water supply in the past due to equipment failures or work on electrical networks. This is supposedly unavoidable. As the director of Kaišiadoriiador vandenys explained, the Rumšiškės water treatment facilities belong to electricity supply category III, which means that in the event of a power outage, it must be restored within 8 hours.

The city of Rumšiškės has its own water supply network and disturbances to this network do not affect the surrounding settlements in any way. Individual towns and villages have their own systems.
