Marius, the manager of the Work Abroad employment company, said the companies offer jobs in three European countries: the Netherlands, the UK and Germany.
“We are looking for employees in warehouses and logistics centers who load, unload and pack merchandise. You can get a job at these companies at any time of the year. And the duration of work is not limited either, some are employed for 2 or 3 months, others for a longer period.
However, during this period we noticed that the interest in job offers abroad is very high. Students and schoolchildren look for work in the summer. Unemployment is increasing in Lithuania, so people are looking for work abroad, ”said the manager of the company.
According to him, people are now more willing to work in the Netherlands or Germany than in the UK.
“Brexit had a big impact on that, but now the coronavirus pandemic has contributed. More testing is needed to go to this country. This discourages people as going to the UK has become more expensive.
In terms of salary, the minimum wage is € 10 an hour in Germany and the UK, and just under € 10 in the Netherlands. However, many employers pay more than the minimum. You can earn between 1,500 and 1,800 euros in full-time jobs in Germany and the Netherlands, and a little more in the UK, because there the salaries are higher, ”said the manager of the company.
Requirements for employees are low
According to him, getting a job abroad is not difficult.
“The jobs on offer do not require specific skills or experience. Once hired, employers often offer training to new hires.
The Netherlands is an English speaking country, so you should be able to speak English spoken there. However, some companies require a higher level of language. In Germany, it is a little easier because we have a series of job offers where Russian is spoken, because the supervisors speak this language. And there are suggestions in which it is possible to work without any language ”, said the manager of the company.
According to him, the pandemic has also affected some foreign companies, job offers have dropped slightly, but if a person really wants to work, they will get a job.
