Seimas spokesman V. Čmilytė-Nielsen stated that he had no intention of apologizing to R. Karbauskis, because he saw no reason for it. She said that this conflict is possible.

The ruling majority decided that 6 deputies would work on the Board of the Seimas, although the Statute of the Seimas establishes that there may be 7 deputies.

The head of Seimas said that this could be one of the solutions if the opposition leader could not be found.

“The boiling temperature is not clear which side. I believe that today the statement of the LVŽS elder is not completely founded and leads to emotions, ”said the president of Seimas about R. Karbauskis’s decision to withdraw from Seimas.

He stated that he was in no rush until the time ultimatum raised by R. Karbauskis – on Tuesday. And he wants all opposition groups to be properly represented.

“I’m not in a rush until Tuesday, it is important to me that the opposition factions feel valued and, most importantly, represented,” said the president of Seimas.

Gabrielius Landsbergis, leader of the Union of the Fatherland – Christian Democrats of Lithuania (TS-LKD), told reporters that he saw the desire of certain politicians to increase the conflict in the Seimas.

“I would not call it a stir. There was some logic, a rational proposal, since we see how the Seimas can be represented on the board. One can get the impression that certain politicians, just to specifically heat those flames, without pouring a new kerosene in those flames every day. Now we have a burning fire, but it seems to me that what the president of Seimas says, she sees the way forward, she has full confidence in the coalition partners, “said the conservative leader.

He assured that the concern was about one: the opposition leader, who seems to be unable to be found, so not all the Seimas factions are duly represented on the Seimas Board.

“The only concern is that the opposition leader is not materializing, the question is whether he will be. “You can seek that all political groups are represented on the board,” he said.

It did not assess the self-determination of R. Karbauskis and explained that similar statements could have been heard before.

When asked if R. Karbauskis would ask to remain in the Seimas, G. Landsbergis said that the priority of the ruling coalition was adequate representation of the Seimas.

“Look, let’s not solve their problems. Let everyone solve their problems. And if we can find out that the representation is fairer, we are definitely ready to do it,” he told reporters at Seimas.

G. Landsbergis stated that the option of appointing a representative of the LVŽS as the seventh vice-president of the Seimas could be considered.

“It just came to our attention then. I don’t think there is much disagreement in the coalition on that. (…) And for specific personalities, the same issue is once again: free voting. I don’t know if we want to go to the same issue,” he said. .

The head of the homeland union said he saw an opportunity for a more peaceful Seimas.

“I try not to participate in all this kerosene dump. (…) I see an opportunity for a more peaceful Seimas. But I feel that some politicians want a less peaceful Seimas, because in this way the opportunities for self-realization are greater,” explained G Landsbergis.
