Kaunas “Žalgiris” dramatically lost the last match of the 2020-2021 Euroleague season. Martin Schiller’s students landed at Bayern Munich after Vladimir Lučičius’ exact fines 70:71.

The player especially in the first part of the match encouraged the attack of “Žalgiris” and was the biggest puzzle for the opponents. In the fourth quarter, Lekavičius also helped start Žalgiris, when he made a nice extra pass to Walkup, then took over the ball. The technical foul seemed small to say the least: Luke faced Jalen Reynolds of varying sizes and didn’t really have to play to hit the floor.

Hayes played a very good section in the fourth quarter and together with Walkup they were the main guides for Kaunas. The forward also made three unusual mistakes on him: he broke the double ball rule and took two steps. At the end of the match, Žalgiris came close to seizing the ball, but the referees changed their decision after further review. It is true that this situation has been very difficult for the referees. In most cases, when the ball is struck, when the exact angle is not visible, the ball is left to the controlling team.
