R.Lingienė announced on her Facebook account that although NVSC reacted quickly to the situation and tried to contact the host of the event, she did not receive any response from him. According to her, the event organizers also did not contact the NVSC when it became clear that more than one person who participated in the event was ill.
“After all, the city is small, everyone knows each other. That would have been a responsible example, ”writes R. Lingienė.
He also criticized the unclear number of people who attended the event. “Now we listen to about 400 participants, but where did they stay? It is said that there were about a thousand, in the opinion of others, much more ”, says the woman.
The head of the NVSC Vilnius department criticized the organizers for not being sure whether the organizers were taking care of the safety of the event participants. “We cannot answer the question whether the safety of the participants was really taken care of, especially after the photos published yesterday, in which obviously a significant part of them were of respectable age and without masks or used inappropriately “writes R. R.Lingienė invited the people who participated in the event to investigate, call the COVID-19 hotline number 1808 and indicate that they participated in the event in Kryžkalnis.
“Holidays should be celebrated, but in a situation like Raseiniai’s, it hardly is. I remind the organizers of PS events that they are responsible and must ensure the safety of the participants,” writes R. Lingienė.
