“The deception that the rulers tried to commit by changing the bill, which practically plagiarized the definition of family from the Constitution, except for the word ‘family’, simply did not happen,” Karbauskis told BNS on Tuesday.

After the presentation, 63 members of the Seimas voted in favor of the Association Bill proposed by the ruling, against 58, seven abstained. In case of disagreement after submission, the project was returned to the initiators for improvement by another vote.
R. Karbauskis says that the greater opposition force in parliament will not contribute to the improvement of this project “in any case” and will try to bless his proposal for the regulation of property relations.
“We would not contribute under any circumstances. We have another project, it is under consideration and will soon arrive at the Seimas, where we talk about the property relations of the people who live together. Regardless of gender (…) Now there is our bill in which we talked about property relations, it was drafted in the last legislature and on and on. There will probably be enough votes in the Seimas to fix people’s property relations, so that there are no problems for people who live together and have some property relations ”, Said R. The rulers and some members of the opposition in a draft rejected on Tuesday proposed that the Corporations Law enter into force on January 1, 2022.
The project was presented together with the leader of the Liberal Movement Viktorija Čmilyte-Nielsen by Aušrinė Armonaitė, President of the Freedom Party, Gabrielius Landsbergis, President of the National Union of Christian Democrats of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, Prime Minister of the Liberal Party` `as well as the president of the Human Rights Committee, Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius, representative of the Freedom Party, and Andrius Navickas, conservative member of this committee.
