On Tuesday the closing speeches of the case began, in which the prosecutor of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Darius Jakutis, who supported the state accusation in this case, intervened.
He asked the court to find Ms Venckiene, who is about to celebrate her 50th birthday, guilty of all the charges against her: non-execution of sentence, resistance to a police officer, obstruction of bailiff’s duties, and mild illness, and sentenced to two years and six months in prison.
What N.Venckienė and his lawyer will ask the court will become clear at the next court hearing, which is scheduled for June 9.
When both parties have finished their closing speeches and N. Venckienė has the last word, the court will come out to draw up a verdict.
N.Venckienė, charged with four misdemeanors, did not admit her guilt either during the investigation or in court.
On the contrary, the former judge affirms that it is not she who should sit on the stand, but the people who organized the taking of Laimutė Stankūnaitė’s daughter from her home and participated in it.
According to N. Venckienė, she did not oppose the bailiffs who came to her parents’ home on the morning of May 17, 2012 and suffered them; the officers severely broke his hands, for which he even needed medical help.
The former judge bases his innocence on a case file, which he describes as secret, but the prosecutor believes that the file is one of many pieces of evidence that confirms the guilt of a refugee who fled to the United States in 2013 and was only returned in 2019.
The record clearly shows how N. Venckienė kicked L. Stankūnaitė, who tried to take her daughter a couple of times, and when the girl was already in her mother’s hands, she also tried to bite her.
The recording also denies the legend created by N. Venckienė about the “psychotropic chaldra”, which allegedly surprised L. Stankūnaitė’s daughter.
When the girl was released from N. Venckienė’s house, the former judge said that the girl sitting on her knees had been thrown by a blanket wrapped in chemicals over her head, from which the girl was intoxicated, her head bowed and her hands they flapped.
In the video you can see that the blanket was real, but it was thrown over the girl’s shoulders when she was already in her mother’s arms and stayed on her for no more than a second, because L. Stankūnaitė was in a hurry to carry it. daughter of the Kedžiai house.
He also claims that his daughters were unable to give it to Laimute Stankūnaitė because he did not go with his mother and wanted to live with her.
Four people have been recognized as victims in this case: L. Stankūnaitė with his daughter, Sheriff Sonata Vaicekauskienė and Police Officer Mindaugas Gušauskas.
L. Stankūnaitė and his daughter have filed 70 thousand euros in civil actions against N. Venckienė, M.Gušauskas – 2000 euros and S.Vaicekauskienė – 28 thousand 962 euros.
