Today, Seimas member Petras Gražulis addressed the Seimas Ethics and Procedures Commission, asking to investigate the activities of Seimas member Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius as a professional homosexual, as residents often ask about his self-denomination.

Article 60 of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania states that a member of the Seimas cannot work anywhere else and receive other income, except for creative activities. P. Gražulis asks the Seimas Ethics and Procedures Commission to investigate whether the duties of a professional gay person are creative work. The parliamentarian is interested in how this profession is evaluated and if in this place the Union of the Fatherland – Lithuanian Christian Democrats in power does not see violations of the Constitution.
P. Gražulis draws the attention of the Ethics and Procedures Commission to the fact that fines are imposed for paid sexual services in accordance with article 487 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Prostitution, paid use of prostitution services”) – for First time 90-140 EUR, and for repeated 140- EUR 300. If it turns out that TV Raskevičius, a member of Seimas, receives additional income as a professional homosexual and it is not a creative activity, P. Gražulis asks the Ethics and Procedures Commission to prepare a draft resolution of the Seimas to revoke the mandate of TVRaskevičius as a member of the Seimas.
