Asked by Professor Saulius Čaplinskas, specialist in infectious diseases, when we will see the results of the latest restrictions, the interlocutor assured that the peak of the change in these results will be reached on the 28th.
“Examples and studies from other countries show that the introduction of restrictions, when they are met, is a maximum change in those results on the 28th day. After that, the results are remarkable, but there is not such a big jump. It’s important to note that if essentially nothing changes, the release reverts to the same level as before the restrictions were released at the same time. ” Delphi Day S. Chaplinskas jacket.
According to him, going to supermarkets alone is not bad, but the behavior of many people is dangerous, especially when the safety requirements are not met.
“On the one hand, people need to understand, on the other hand, it is not dangerous to go to the supermarkets themselves, but how to deal with it, especially that congestion or if the protective masks have been used incorrectly, is clearly a danger. Also, when it comes to beauty salons, the service stays there for more than fifteen minutes and in close contact. That is why it is very important that masks are used correctly, both for clients and hairdressers, ”says S. Čaplinskas.
When asked how much of our disease curve can go up, the professor assured us that there are new limits to reduce morbidity.
“There are limits to this, we all agree that new requirements are necessary, otherwise there would be a total collapse if the disease curve increased. The limitations for this are that the curve will not continue to jump as abruptly as I mentioned, we will have to wait for a time for tangible results, ”says S. Čaplinskas.
When asked if it could be the case that society would simply gain immunity as the number of diseases continued to rise, the professor felt that there was no basis for such language: immunity did not develop as quickly.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Experience from other countries already shows that where many people have been ill, only about twenty percent of people still acquire immunity,” says S. Čaplinskas.

Critics say the new requirements unjustifiably discriminate against small merchants, the movement restrictions imposed are disproportionate and difficult to enforce, and some psychologists have also suggested allowing lonely people to interact in social bubbles.
