Liberal Movement spokeswoman G.Čmilytė-Nielsen told reporters after the second round of Seimas elections that she would run for the presidency of Seimas. According to her, in accordance with political tradition, a representative of the second largest ruling group becomes the speaker of parliament.
G. Lansdsbergis has not publicly mentioned the possibility of running for President of the Seimas.
The ruling coalition is made up of the Lithuanian Christian National-Democratic Union, the Liberal Movement and the Freedom Party.
