“We trust the experts who work both in our groups and in the Government group, and we really believe that their recommendation, their solution, would be really safe. And if they decide that it is really safe not to wear masks in certain places, we will definitely support that decision, ”said S. Krėpšta at a press conference held in the Presidency.
ELTA recalls that Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė stated last week that the requirements for the use of nasal and oral masks can be revised before the approved plan to change quarantine restrictions allows it. The Prime Minister notes that even if it were decided to abandon the use of masks in open spaces before the entry into force of Quarantine Scenario A, the decision would be made taking into account the opinion of experts, not politicians.
A council of experts attached to the government considered on Monday the possibility of proposing to abandon the use of masks that cover the nose and mouth outdoors.
