According to A. Dulkis, on Wednesday at the government meeting it is planned to establish in a more specific way the scenarios proposed by the experts, which contemplate the number of infections and the quarantine restrictions that are still in force.

“We should talk about the gradual release from quarantine. <...> That aspect is very important. We need to properly evaluate those positive knowledge or trends that we have now. We also see several risks that we can face, “said A. Dulkys.

According to the Minister, a clearer establishment of scenarios and indicators will be the directions and recommendations that will guide the Government in making decisions. According to A. Dulkis, such a quarantine release plan should also bring more clarity to the population.

According to him, every week in government meetings, meetings of emergency commissions or meetings with experts, the real situation will be reviewed and it will be decided whether the data allows accepting the release from quarantine.

“Measures can be introduced, some can be advanced or they can be delayed or revoked. We understand that we have achieved the result that we have today with a set of measures, so we will try to make the releases very gradually and each time we measure, we analyze and we discussed whether we really continue to have these positive trends ”, explained the Minister.

A meeting of government officials with independent experts is also scheduled for Monday. A. Dulkys confirmed that Lithuania has entered quarantine scenario C and that, according to A. Dulkys, it is “the result of fair human behavior”.

The Minister stated that one of the pending outcomes of the quarantine release was the opening of outdoor ski slopes. It will also be proposed to open the doors of the stores if they have a separate entrance on the time side and can guarantee the restriction of customer flows. A. Dulkys hinted that she would volunteer to allow and provide beauty services.

According to A. Dulkis, the decision on the opening of outdoor ski slopes can already be made on Monday, and on shops and beauty services – on Wednesday.

“People in quarantine have allowed us to make decisions about the release,” said Aušrinė Armonaitė, Minister of Economy and Innovation.

According to her, if decisions are made about the ski resorts on Monday, they will be able to start working from Tuesday. Still, the minister could not answer exactly when shops and beauty salons could resume operations.

“Specific days on a due date, I cannot say today, but I hope that soon we can use those services and that businesses are opened, “said A. Armonaitė.

In Lithuania, the quarantine was announced on November 7 last year, its regime tightened from December 16 and extended last week until early March.
