God I don’t know anything! What are you asking me? Ask the police, reporters! Go find that woman, what do I know, who is she and if she exists? None of those who questioned me, arrested me, or laid hands on me! The only person who called to ask was a journalist, “P. Gražulis said excitedly on Tuesday at Delfi’s question about what he could say about the allegations.
For this type of crime, the law provides for up to ten years in prison. The Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates that pre-trial investigations must be carried out as soon as possible.
Petras Gražulis, a 61-year-old Seimas member accused of gang rape of a 35-year-old woman, said “waiting for journalists to write that I killed someone,” speaking to Delphi on Tuesday.
“Oh yes, shit, sorry, head to toe, and then you explain, man,” said the politician.
The 15min.lt portal was the first to write about serious crime allegations against a politician accused by an unidentified woman on the night of Monday, May 4.
According to the portal, the woman claims that the crime was committed on the night of March 15 of this year, at approximately 11 p.m., in a private residential house in the village of Vosyliukai, Trakai district. According to the publication, the said house is associated with P. Gražulis and his former assistant in the Seimas Patricija Pachomovaitė.
“March 25 A 35-year-old woman admitted to the hospital said on March 15. around 11 pm In the village of Vosyliukai, on Nendrių Street, at P. Gražulis’s house, when something was added to a drink alcoholic, P. Gražulis and another person of 35 years surprised and raped her, “this is how the event is marked in police reports,” writes 15min.lt.
However, Ramūnas Matonis, head of the Police Department’s Communication Department, who spoke to Delfi on Tuesday, claims that the police incident was not announced in the summary of events.
“It was not (published) because, due to the nature of the crime, we did not publish such reports in the summaries,” said R. Matonis. The representative of the Police Department does not provide more information on Monday or Tuesday.
“A message was received from the woman on March 25. Police are investigating whether such an event occurred at all. We will not comment on the details of the incident, ”R. Matonis replied to the question of whether and when the pre-trial investigation began.
The Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates that the institution must make a procedural decision on a complaint received about a possible crime within ten days, and the latter must be completed in the shortest possible time after the start of the pre-trial investigation.
Meanwhile, Julija Samorokovskaja Delfi, head of communication for the Vilnius County Chief Police Station, which is investigating the victim’s complaint, confirmed that a pre-trial investigation into the criminal case was launched.
“The investigation was opened on March 25 following a complaint received from the victim about the acts provided for in article 149 of the Penal Code, i. For rape,” said a representative of Vilnius AVPK.
Ms. Samorokovskaya, head of the communications department of the police department, did not disclose the reasons why the victim fell to the hospital, where she wrote a statement about the rape, or why she was silent about the crime for ten days.
“Such data will not be provided. A specialized unit of the police station is investigating whether such an event occurred at all,” he said.
Father Gražulis himself claims that he learned from journalists about the fact that he was charged with serious criminal offenses.
“I called, they say yes and yes, I say: who is too Bavarian here, are you crazy? So Pachomovaitė calls me, says that, of course, the journalists called me and asked me if I had not written a statement that he raped me The circus is something! I say, and they called me (journalists – aut. Past), “said P. Gražulis in Delfi.
When asked if he visited the house in Vosyliukai that day, the politician turned away from the direct answer: “Well, what a difference here, he did not visit. “I’m saying I don’t know anything about any rape.” When asked if he could visit the house with a 35-year-old man, P. Gražulis burst out: “It remains to be seen, what, sorry, will you try to accuse me of raping me too?”
This is not the first time that a member of the Seimas has been involved in a sex scandal.
In June 2018, a scandal arose that Birutė Navickaitė, a 31-year-old Palanga saleswoman, was born to the daughter of P. Gražulis. Initially denying paternity, the politician later recognized the daughter. Extramarital political relations were first announced by the 15min portal.
In 2016, as the Seimas elections approached, INFO TV reported that then-Seimas member P. Gražulis and his assistant P. Pachomovaitė were more connected than labor relations.
The politician also bought a house for his beloved in the Trosai district, Vosyliukai.
This, according to the 15-minute couple, is the same building where, as is now speculated, a group rape of an unidentified woman occurred.
Member of Seimas P. Gražulis has 4 children from his first marriage.
