The National Basketball Association (NBA) continues to prepare for a season extension in Orlando. However, there is no shortage of people opposing the idea.
One of them is a Brooklyn Nets player. Kyrie Irving, who organized a video chat of the basketball players and spoke out against colleagues who were going to Florida. According to him, such a scenario is not acceptable in the recent social context.
It has been argued in the past that closing NBA players (most of whom are black) in the bubble formed is not an acceptable solution, especially after George Floyd’s protests against racial discrimination.
Admittedly, Irving hasn’t extended the season due to injury, so he wouldn’t show up in Orlando anyway. For this reason, the player’s activity sparked a debate among fans.
Portland Trail Blazers in tandem CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony, as well as Los Angeles Lakers Center Dwight Howard and Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell are reluctant to continue the season. LeBron James, meanwhile, spoke forcefully in favor of extending the season.
Approximately 150 NBA players are expected to discuss ways to take an organized stand against the restart of the 2019-20 season.

However, some NBA players have been sharing a similar vision for some time: About 150 basketball players in the league are going to speak out against the season. They are not satisfied not only with the league plan, but also with the fact that they were unable to participate in the vote themselves before it was approved.
The NBA has discussed all the season’s extension points with representatives of the League Players Association (NBPA), so this division is also surprising.
The resumption of NBA fights is scheduled for July 31, but opinions differ widely. While some are calling for the extension to be canceled, the league is already considering a possible advance, undermining the 2020-2021 season schedule.
