Commenting on this proposal to journalists on Tuesday, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė noted that the emergency regime would be sufficient.
It was previously considered that the recommendation to wear masks indoors may need to reintroduce the quarantine regime.
“Those changes will be made in the regulation of the emergency situation and the list of requirements for the use of masks indoors will be expanded,” I. Šimonytė told reporters at Seimas on Tuesday.
The Head of Government also confirmed that no further changes are foreseen, such as the establishment of rules for events, as discussed above.
Authorities plan to return the mandatory masks as the epidemiological situation deteriorates. It is now recommended that those with passport options wear masks.
