Following the meniscus injury, Vilnius “Rytas” striker Kristjanas Kitsing and shoulder injury treatment Rokas Gustys shared their thoughts on the rehabilitation process at the club show “Iš arti”.
Triples released this season
When asked how much he missed basketball, Gustys had a clear answer.
“It is obvious that you miss a lot when you watch the game, you want to play, but now you are in a situation and you have agreed that healing from this trauma will take a long time,” said the Morning forward. – You want to support the team to play their best and try to help someone else – advice for teammates or younger players. So at least I try to contribute to the success of the team. “
Andrius Misiūra, Rytas’ physical therapist, believes that his positive attitude helps Rokas to rehabilitate himself.
“Rock looks at everything in a very positive and optimistic way, he is motivated, he always goes to training with energy. He wants to return as soon as possible, but he understands that it is a long process and that it will take time ”, Misiūra is convinced.
In describing Kitsing, the capital’s team’s physical therapist highlighted his willingness to work hard.
“The trauma is quite serious, he performed the operation in Tallinn and immediately returned to Vilnius the following week.” Initially, we did physical therapy procedures, easily beginning to bend the knee to create some of this range and movement.
Kitsing is really very stubborn, hardworking, never gives up. Although we exercise very hard, he tries and works his teeth from the first to the last minute of training, ”said Misiūra.
Kitsingas spent almost eight minutes in a match with Prienai’s team and managed to register a shot from long range.
“I felt good. During the warm-up, I was sure that everything was in order, I did not press my knee too much, – taught the Estonian. – It seemed like a summer before the first friendlies, like two months without basketball. Some of the movements were Strangers, sometimes I’m late, but I feel like I’m coming back. “
