Peaceful protests against the official results of the presidential elections, which led to the re-election of the country’s current president, Alexander Lukashenko, continue on Friday in Minsk and other Belarusian cities on Friday.
According to Interfax correspondents, the media, Telegram channels and witnesses, people have been forming “solidarity chains” on many streets of Minsk since morning. As in previous days, these actions are dominated by women, who have flowers in hand.
Portal tut.by reported that the doctors had formed a “solidarity chain” near Hospital 5. They have signs with the words “They beat our men a lot”, “Doctors against violence.” Participants say they wear black on Friday to protest cruel treatment of detainees.
Musicians and teachers met at the Philharmonic. Some of them brought posters with the words “Teachers against violence”, “Teachers against lies”, “We are honest teachers”, “We are peaceful people”, “What beat us?” jobs.
Previously, they were joined by presidential candidate Andrei Dmitrijev and Maryja Kalesnikava, candidate Sviatlan Cichanouskaya’s comrade, and Viktor Babaryka’s head of non-electoral staff.
Some came to the teacher marches with the children. Teachers were joined by those who had previously worked in the fields, as well as bystanders. Cars, including ambulances, support them with audible signals. The protesters also have the support of subway workers.
Campaign participants, who go to the Ministry of Education, ask Minister Ihar Karpenko to enter into a dialogue with them.
Earlier, graduates of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University asked graduates of pedagogical institutions and employees of the educational system, as well as school teachers, to “condemn fraud” during the elections.
According to the portal tut.by, the peaceful protesters have the support of taxi drivers from Minsk.
“Yesterday many taxi drivers went to Žodzina (near the detention center) to take the released people from there. And today we decided to unite to support the girls standing by Dzerzhinsky avenue. We will give them flowers. We want to go through the city with a column ”, said one of the participants of the campaign.
As on Thursday, a women’s column was formed in downtown Minsk, which began to move down Independence Avenue. Little by little more and more people join.
The portal onliner.by, for its part, reports that a group of girls dressed in black have met at the Central Electoral Commission of Belarus. Today, he is considering the complaints of the candidates.
