A total of 12 men and 18 women died on the last day.
Most of the deaths (14) belonged to the age group 80 to 89 years.
Seven deaths belonged to the age group 90 to 99 years, five to the group 60 to 69 years and four to the group 70 to 79 years.
The Statistics Department points out that “the number of deaths in the last day is preliminary and increases between 20 and 40 percent in a few days.”
Additionally, 36 coronavirus deaths were included in the overall death statistics when the actual date of death is earlier.
