Lithuanian team Permian Parma (1-0) captured an extraordinary sensation in the first game of the VTB United League season.

Kazys Maksvytis’s students lagged behind for most of the match 97:95 (25:26, 19:29, 17:26, 36:14) played for the CSKA Moscow team (1-1).
CSKA secured the game throughout the match and held a 20-point lead in the middle of the fourth quarter (87:67). Still, the guests entered a decisive assault.
Only Robertas Johnson scored 9 points in a row, Mareks Mejeris added two points, Eigirdas Žukauskas threw a shot from under the basket, and Parma won the stage 18: 4 and, 2 minutes later, the teams awarded a total of 6 points – 85: 91.
Parma, which did not stop, completely restored the intrigue. Gleb Šeiko and Nikolajus Žmako struck out three points and at the beginning of the last minute of the match the guest deficit decreased to a minimum – 91:92.
After that, Mike James made only one free kick and Parma punished him in the most painful way possible.
With 10 seconds remaining, Šeiko stabbed another long shot on goal and thus weighed the result in favor of the Parma team – 94:93.
The CSKA, who did not expect anything, responded immediately with their points after a minute of rest, when Mike James, who had made a successful foray towards the basket, again weighed the result – 95:94.
Still, it wasn’t one night. With 0.1 seconds to go, Maxim Grigoryev scored another triple, breaking Parma’s victory to 97:95.
Team CSKA was not saved by James, who had an impressive performance. The American scored 31 points in 29 minutes (9/12 doubles, 1/3 trit., 10/12 penalties), made 6 assists, intercepted 2 balls, caused 12 fouls, but made 5 errors and scored 27 utility points.
Adas Juškevičius scored 11 points (1/2 double, 1/1 trit., 6/7 penalty) in 15 minutes, bounced 3 balls, made 3 assists, caused 4 fouls, made 2 errors and scored 13 utility points.
Žukauskas added 10 points (1/2 double, 2/4 trip, 2/2 penalties), 2 rebounds and 9 utility points.
