On November 1, eight patients and 8 employees were diagnosed with coronavirus infection in the Department of Internal Medicine of the Republican Panevėžys Hospital. The hospital reports that his condition is mild.

Currently, 30 employees of the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys are ill. The hospital reports that the vast majority have a mild form of infection and it is treated at home. To date, 46 COVID patients are being treated at the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys – 19 patients: 3 of them are being treated in resuscitation, they are receiving artificial lung ventilation and 8 patients are receiving oxygen therapy. Another 12 patients are being tested and awaiting answers.
All other wards are open, services are not suspended, but patient care remains strictly restricted to very seriously ill patients, children under 14 years of age and mothers, subject to prior coordination with the ward chief. Only 1 person can visit the patient at a time and for a maximum of 15 minutes. The neighborhood can only have 1 visitor at a time.
“We appeal to the residents and guests of the Panevėžys region: if your stay at the Republican Hospital of Panevėžys is not necessary and extremely important at this time, please refrain from visiting our medical institution and postpone it for later, when the epidemiological situation is more favorable to both you and the hospital patients, patients and staff.
