Another Greek derby, only this time, with a different ending. Athens Panathinaikos (14/9) Euroleague at the guest stadium 88:77 (21:18, 17:17, 23:19, 27:23) reached the rematch against Piraeus Olympiacos (11/13).
For the latter team, this is the fifth consecutive failure.
From the first minutes, Panathinaikos began to have more control over the situation and when they exploded, they did not allow their opponents to overweight the result: 38:30. After the big break, they managed to increase their lead (59:47), but the hosts began to reduce it: Vassilis Spanoulis scored a three-point shot, Hassan Martin scored two shots and the teams scored just 5 points – 54: 59.
Olympiacos also started positively in the fourth quarter (59:61), but when there was a chance to take the lead, Howard Sant-Roos responded by three points. Long pitches allowed Panathinaika to regain the lead (73:64), which they did not waste until the end.
In the fight under the baskets, Panathinaikos won up to 38 against 19. From 38 rebounds, up to 15 PAO took off.
The first match between them was won by OLY 78:71. This time, Panathinaikos was not helped by Nemanja Nedovičius, and Olympiacos was not helped by Alexander Vezenkov and Kostas Papanikolaou, who have yet to return.

The most productive match of his career in the Euroleague was played by Eleftherios Bochoridis, who scored 15 points, while for Howard Sant-Roos it was the most productive (20) and most useful (27) match of his career.
