G. Paluckas regretted that he would entrust his support to the right-wing representative in the constituency.
“There are not many leftists in my constituency, you will have to choose between two evils. You will have to choose a smaller one,” he told reporters.
The conservative Mindaugas Lingė and the representative of the Freedom Party, Morgana Danielė, are competing for the mandate in the Šeškinė-Šnipiškės district of the capital.
G. Paluckas stated that he has not decided his vote in advance: “We will have to think very well in the voting booth and weigh what would be best for Lithuania.”
I came undecided, I’ll deal with it at the last minute.
“I have come undecided, I will take care of the last moment, because neither of us is very happy, but I will have to choose. As a citizen, I must participate in the elections and I will exercise my right and fulfill my duty ”, said the leader of the Social Democrats, assuring him that he will not damage the ballot.
“No, I will not vote for Harry Potter,” Paluck smiled.
He did not mention which of the two right-wing candidates voted, but indicated that he had chosen a more moderate one.
“In the socioeconomic sphere, one of the candidates is more moderate, that is, he offers less privatization of public services, which is important for us as Social Democrats,” said the LSDP magician.
Stressing that he does not see Social Democrats in the coalition with the National Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats, the Freedom Party and the Liberal Movement, G. Paluckas stated that the party would not necessarily go to the left coalition.
“It is far from being necessary, because today those opportunities are equally probable: to remain in the opposition or to negotiate left coalitions.” But whether the public gives that opportunity to the left or center-left parties in general will depend on the results of the second round, “said the politician.
It is true that he agreed that the right wing has an advantage before knowing the results of the second round of the Seimas elections.
“This is evident both in the number of seats and in the abundance of candidates in the second rounds. But everything is in the hands of the voters,” taught G. Paluckas.
What would be the result of the Social Democrats in the re-election of the Seimas elections?
“Twelve out of twelve would be the best result, and we’ll see how real it will be,” Paluck said.
Issuance from the municipality:
