It all started with the neighbor’s garage wall
When asked when he started painting, Christoph It says that the walls are 18 years old, and the mother touched the vein of the drawing when she was a child.
“My mother enrolled me in the Vilnius Justinas Vienožinskis art school in Naujoji Vilnia, but I did not finish it. They even let me a second year because I did not attend classes. I did not like to paint, – laughs the interlocutor,” I threw it away, no I was interested “. But it turned out that now this is my job.”
They even dropped me a second year because I didn’t attend classes. I did not like to paint.
After school, Christoph went to study in London. Middlesex Middlesex) Degree in Interior Design and Architecture. When he returned to Lithuania, he tried to find a job by specialty, but when a neighbor asked him to draw a garage wall, when he saw it from friends, acquaintances and strangers, one order after another suddenly spilled out, and Krzysztof did not plunge into wall painting.

“I got hooked, I didn’t even look for work. A chain like this came out, some recommended others, so wall after wall and since 2014. I still do that, ”says the artist, adding that people often discover it through the recommendations of others.
The most popular reservations are for a child’s room.
Krzysztof says that painting on walls and on canvas is not the same: “There is a big difference. Painting on the walls is more difficult. You have to calculate how much material will be needed, how long it will take, larger areas will need to be outlined, and you will need the skills to move that drawing properly on the wall. “
For wall paintings, Krzysztof uses wall paintings: “They blend very well with the wall itself, the drawing looks natural, not like a sticker. And for resistance, it is best to choose wall paint, because the wall can be washed. And if it is a kitchen wall, then painted it is still varnished with a special wall varnish. Sometimes people ask to paint the wall also because they have pets in the house, so that the dog that ran out of the field doesn’t sprinkle it with dirt. “
If it is a kitchen wall, after painting it is still varnished with a special varnish for walls.
The interviewee says that there are several requests from clients: some want to enliven the interior of the living room or bedroom, others – the bathroom, the hallway, the third – the facade of the house, and the most common request is to paint the walls of the children’s room.
“Many people want this service. We start preparing the drawing in advance while the couple is still waiting, but you already know who will be born. The theme and colors of the drawing are also chosen depending on whether a girl or a boy is to be born,” says Krzysztof , adding that kindergartens often become customers for children’s drawings.
It can last from two days to a month.
Sometimes, according to the interlocutor, the clients themselves send a photo, a drawing that they would like on their wall. It also happens that one is created from several drawings. And for those who don’t have a concrete vision, Krzysztof helps to create it: “I draw something of my own, show it, then we combine it with people, whether they like it, like it or not, we make it or adjust it.”
Christstoff says that after receiving the order, he asks the person to send a picture of the wall he wants to paint. A design is placed on it so that the customer can imagine what that wall will look like in real life. “Sometimes a person has already installed an apartment or a house, created an interior and then combines the drawing with the walls and the shadow of the furniture. In such cases, the drawing on the wall is already the last detail of the interior, ”says the artist.
When asked how long does it take to paint one piece or another on a wall, Krzysztof explains that it usually takes 2-4 days to paint the wall of a child’s room, the drawings on the sites are more complex, often the city or other more realistic images, it takes a week to three.

“A lot also depends on the size of the wall. Once I had to draw a 6 meter long wall, it took me about a month ”, says the interlocutor.
Price per drawing – from 300 euros
When asked if the fact that he lives off wall paintings himself means that the service is now popular and in demand, the interviewee says that he has noticed that in recent years there have been many more artists painting on the walls.
“I would say that wall painting has become popular. It is possible that more and more people are giving up on Chinese wall murals or stickers, wanting quality and exclusivity, which is why they choose wall painting. I think it opens up a lot more possibilities than what can be done on the walls, ”says Krzysztof.
Asked how much a drawing on the wall costs, the interviewer says that each artist values their work differently, and the market price ranges from 300 euros to more than a thousand.
In addition to borders, Krzysztof also became paintings. Recognize that closer to the heart – realistic images.

“I like to paint everything that is real. I like to paint with an idea when an image tells you a story. I am drawing for myself, for myself, now I started a great job, but I haven’t shown it until it’s finished. And the plans are to prepare dozens of good works and perhaps one day present them in a gallery ”, the painter concludes with a smile.
