Orlen Lietuva is planning new investments of hundreds of millions

According to a press release, the company is considering building a new heavy oil refinery to increase efficiency and improve product quality.

The advisor to the Minister of Economy, Evelina Butkutė-Lazdauskienė, told BNS that the ministers positively evaluated the company’s plans, in addition, they discussed the possibilities of how the state could contribute to the development of said project.

“If the Orlen Lietuva project were implemented, we could think about how to improve the country’s infrastructure so that the project could be implemented successfully and at the same time contribute to the competitiveness of the Lithuanian economy. We are not talking about volumes yet, but we should consider with what funds could we improve that infrastructure, making optimal use of state and EU funds ”, says R. Sinkevičius.
