Already on Thursday, cold air will begin to penetrate Lithuania from the northeast. The temperature column will not rise as usual after the night. In the eastern part of the country, it will be about 6 to 7 degrees Celsius when it is cold, and in central and western Lithuania it will be about 3 to 5 degrees, and on the seashore – about 2 degrees. The clouds will already cover the sky with a thinner discontinuous layer, and it is expected that in the second half of the day it will clear. In southern areas, it will occasionally continue to snow slightly. Northeast to moderate winds.
A much stronger cold snap will hit us on Friday night. Temperatures in the eastern regions will drop to 15-16 degrees Celsius, in the western part of the country it will be a little milder, around 12-14 degrees, on the coast – around 7-9 degrees below zero. During the day, the temperature will fluctuate in many places around 11-13 degrees, in Samogitia it will be 8-10 degrees, and on the coast around 6 degrees. Occasionally, thicker clouds thicken and do not scatter a little snow anywhere. The wind will blow slightly from the north.
Saturday will not be very clear, the clouds will cover at intervals. More of them will be concentrated on the west side of the country, defending themselves from the strongest cold. Here the temperature will drop to about 13-15 degrees, and in the eastern part of the country it will cool down to 17-20 degrees. During the day, the temperature differences between regions will continue to be large, ranging between 7 and 15 degrees below zero. A weak north wind blows.
On Sunday, the sky will be clear and a cold of 20-25 degrees will cover most of Lithuania. The sun, which heats up badly during the day, will soften the cold to 12-17 degrees.
