Thursday from 4 pm Belarusian officials suspended the departure of cars from Lithuania through the international controls of Šalčininkai, Medininkai, Lavoriškės and Raigardas. According to the border guards of the neighboring country, such a decision is associated with the threat of a pandemic.
However, both on Thursday evening and Friday evening and Friday morning, some people traveling by car to Belarus were admitted through the four points.
According to SBGS, these were Belarusian citizens returning to their country. Truckers and citizens of other countries with Belarusian work visas, employment contracts or residence permits also crossed the border without restrictions.
The remaining citizens of other countries (including Lithuania) cannot enter Belarus.
Buses, if their passengers are Belarusian citizens, can also cross the border into this country. Citizens of other countries do not get lost, they get off the buses and go back to Lithuania.
Trucks enter Belarus through the Lavoriškės, Medininkai, Šalčininkai and Raigard checkpoints without restrictions, regardless of the citizens of the countries driving them.
According to preliminary data, there are no restrictions on leaving Belarus.

Following Belarus’ decision on Thursday to leave the Lithuanian car queue, there is no. The drivers, who were going to drive to Belarus and learned about the restrictions, turned around and headed back to Lithuania. There were no incidents or conflicts at the Lithuanian checkpoints.
SBGS predicts that bandwidth statistics may increase slightly on Friday during daylight hours. Recently, the flow of car passengers through the above points due to the pandemic and other restrictions has been low.
According to Belarusian officials, restrictions on the entry of natural persons into the country as of Thursday also apply at the border with Latvia, Poland and Ukraine.
