On Monday afternoon, drivers in Kaunas began to resent the traffic jams at the intersection of Taikos Avenue and J. Basanavičius Avenue. This became impassable.

“Due to the disrupted contact networks of the trolleybus line, traffic at the intersection of Taikos Avenue and J. Basanavičius Avenue has been temporarily closed. Repairs can take up to several hours. Police officers work on site and regulate traffic, “representatives of the Kaunas City Municipality soon reported.

They apologized to the drivers for the inconvenience and asked for understanding. Road users are encouraged to choose an alternative route at this time.

Some online drivers encourage others to “jump on the wires,” as they did. However, the movement of a heavy machine through broken nets only exacerbated the situation.
