“I heard that PC Molas is closing because the roof could be broken by snow,” a reader of “What’s Happening in Kaunas” shared rumors among vendors, adding that the mall was still in operation today, but then closed its doors.

This is confirmed by information from another Kaunas resident, around 6 pm Upon arrival in Mol, the mall was already closed. The woman said she had found no information about the disrupted activity either at the gate or online.

Indrė Januševičiūtė, manager of Kaunas Molo, stated in the comment “What is happening in Kaunas” that in case of difficult weather conditions in the country, when the falling snow breaks the records of a decade, all precautions are taken and the center commercial is temporarily suspended.

“Having evaluated the loads caused by wet snow on the roof structure of the building with great caution, and without wanting to cause at least the least risk to the safety of the visitors and employees of the shopping center, we organized snow cleaning works”, said I. Januševičiūtė.

According to the manager of Molo, works are planned to resume as soon as the amount of snow on the roof is reduced. I. Januševičiūtė apologizes to all visitors for the temporary inconvenience.
