Miglė Bielinytė, communications manager for Delfi Communications Services, confirmed that some traffic light controlled intersections in Vilnius Old Town are not working due to a power failure.
“For now, we ask drivers to drive carefully and follow traffic signs.” If we see problems at major intersections, we will ask police officers to start regulating traffic there, ”he said.
The specialist confirmed that as soon as the power supply to the traffic lights is restored, the traffic lights will start working again, it will not be necessary to turn them on.
Traffic lights do not work at the following intersections in Vilnius Old Town:
Kauno – Aguonų st.
V. Šopeno – Sodų st.
Pylimo-St. Stepono – Rūdininkų st.
Pylimo – Sodų st.
Kaunas – St. Stepono – V. Šopeno g.
Drivers should drive here following traffic signals at intersections and pay special attention to what is happening on the road.
