Kaunas residents living on P. Plechavičiaus Street have noticed that homeless people are settling near the apartment building marked 19 during the warm season. They gather a few meters from the garbage containers built on the street, near trees and bushes.
“As I was walking down P. Plechavičiaus street, I saw men drinking in the bushes, and all kinds of scurvy were approaching them. Residents of house 19 on this street don’t seem to see the most pleasant views. Homeless people probably live in the bushes, ”a well-known Kaunas resident told the kauno.diena.lt website.
Visited the place three times in August but never noticed people. Mattresses, blankets, and various scarlets were laid out among the bushes. Nearby were two carriages.
Why doesn’t anyone get those people out of here? Not many people want to start, residents avoid even approaching them, especially when it comes to a pandemic situation.
I only saw the drunken bums this afternoon. Three or four men drank beer. However, they made no noise. An hour later, only two men slept on the shroud and no other drinkers were to be seen. Beer bottles were thrown into the meadow, clothes were hung on tree branches.
In this house, I spoke with a young man who lived on the first staircase. He said the homeless had settled near the nine-story house long ago.
“I saw them last summer. Of course, there were no homeless people in the winter, and they reappeared this spring. Drunkards show up, disappear somewhere again. Why doesn’t anyone take those people out of here? Not many people who want to start, residents avoid even approaching them, especially when there is such a pandemic situation, “said a resident of P. Plechavičius’s house 19 to the portal kauno.diena.lt.
When asked if uninvited neighbors don’t make noise when drunk, the man didn’t hide: “Sometimes it makes noise. Everything happens “.
Be that as it may, no one’s dealing with this homeless shit yet.
