However, after the tragedy on Friday morning, a neighbor recalled that the sounds of gunshots on this farm had echoed before.
“I used to hear that I liked to hunt. Yesterday it was also ‘anger anger’. I thought maybe the duck was scaring, shooting some kind of firecracker. I heard it again a couple of times today, but I didn’t think something bad was happening .
Only then did I see that the house was on fire and everything began to become clear about what happened there, ”said the neighbor of S. Braas.

Neighbors did not terrorize
The interlocutor said that Braas did not conflict with his neighbors, never threatened or otherwise increased fear. However, the neighbor revealed that there have been repeated conflicts between Bras and his wife.
“He lived with his wife, but she had escaped three days ago and was no longer injured. He did not physically abuse her, he did not actually hit her, but instead used psychological violence. In words. We neighbors agreed with him. He showed no aggression against us. I saw him yesterday in a car.

A bullet fired by S.Brasas hit an official from the Mažeikiai District Police Station, one of the best cynologists in Lithuania in his forties, Saulius Žymantas. The officer who accompanied him to the incident was injured and is currently being treated at the hospital.
