Having become an object of attraction in the Salantai Regional Park, chosen this year as one of the most beautiful mounds in Lithuania, Kartena’s note, Kartena Mound, will adorn 2,000 candles and surprise with exceptional projections not only on the mound itself , but also in the huge silhouette of a Curonian boat. The mound will become the sea, the ship’s sails will reflect the slowly moving wonders of nature, the therapeutic sounds will spread, involving everyone in the performance of revived nature and culture.
Due to the current situation in the country, this year’s Kartena Festival “After Opening the Curonian Gate” will take place not only in the usual venue, in the natural city of Kartena, but will be broadcast live on Internet. Organizers invite viewers to watch the culmination of the night of August 8. and live on the Salantai Regional Park Authority Facebook account.
The event is free for people of all ages and groups, families, history, culture, nature lovers and enthusiasts. The Kartena Festival has the partial support of the Council of Culture of Lithuania, municipality of the Kretinga district. According to the organizer of the event, organizing the event this year has to accept several challenges, but it is gratifying that the Kartena Festival is growing, becoming recognizable in the country and having its own audience.
