The Pasvalys ‘Milk Stars’ team, which has achieved three consecutive victories in the Betsafe – LKL (LKL) championship, reinforces the front line.
The inhabitants of Pasvalys agreed to cooperate until the end of the season with Edgars Želionis, who will replace Zigmaras Raimas, who will travel to Latvia to compete.
Last season, the 31-year-old Kaunas started in Egypt, moved to Saudi Arabia in November and has been playing for Le Portel’s Cote d’Opale in France since January.
In France’s top flight, Želionis managed to play six games, during which he spent an average of 20 minutes on the pitch, scoring 10.7 points and bouncing 3.7 balls.
Želionis previously represented LKL against then-Prienai Rūdupis, Utena Juventus and Klaipėda Neptūnas.
The rookie Pasvalys should make his debut in the next weekend game against Neptune.
Raimo LKL, 23, played eight games this season and averaged 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 utility points in 10 minutes.
