Although the Turkish media recently announced that Željko would remain at the helm of Fener for at least two more seasons, the events took a different turn.
The official team report states that Ž. Obradovic is taking a break from his career and will not lead any team next season.
Who will occupy the unoccupied chair has not yet been announced.
Ž. The yellows led by Obradovich reached the Euroleague Final Four five times in a row and became champions in 2017.
During his career, Ž. Obradovich won the Euroleague with different clubs a record nine times.
Admittedly, this season was unusually difficult for his students. After the coronavirus pandemic stopped, the Euroleague ranked eighth in Fenerbahce (13/15).
