The infected person who came from Kazakhstan is a Lithuanian citizen.
“He returned on July 3 via Turkey and Belarus. He traveled from Belarus by car with one other person, but both wore personal protective equipment during the trip, and the period was not yet contagious, as the first symptoms were felt from 8 at 9 p.m. (…) No person with high-risk exposure has been identified, “said R. Lingienė.
According to her, three more cases were also recorded in Vilnius County.
“This is another resident of Rūdiškės, the neighbor of a previously ill woman. It is worrying that her husband works in the same warehouse in Maxima, where several cases have already been identified, but this person is not yet ill, an investigation is being organized ”Commented the director of the Vilnius department of NVSC.

“This woman’s contact with a previously infected woman was rated as low risk because she was said to have had two minutes of contact at the door, not close. False data was probably provided,” he added.
According to R. Lingienė, this woman went to work, four people at high risk have been identified there so far, and one at home.
“Another case was identified by the auxiliary nurse at the Vilna Republican Psychiatric Hospital. There are no people in contact since she has been isolated since July 5. He had to return to work, so he was investigated prophylactically, “explained the representative of NVSC.
According to her, the outbreak was related to six diseases and affected four patients and two workers.
“Four more employees were ill prior to that, and a total of ten illnesses have been diagnosed at this medical institution since May,” said R. Lingienė.
The fifth case of coronavirus confirmed in the last day is an employee of a transport company, but the circumstances of his infection are still unclear.
“I felt the first symptoms on July 9. During the contagious period, he was at work on July 7 and 8, and on July 9 he was still traveling to Poland with his relatives. On July 10, he was examined and found an answer positive. (…) Three family members had contact, at work, according to preliminary data, there are six people who had contact, but there may be more of them, “said the representative of NVSC.
According to Monday’s data, a total of 1,874 people in Lithuania were infected with the coronavirus, 212 people were still ill and 1,571 had recovered.
79 people died from COVID-19, and 12 other people who died from coronaviruses died from other causes.
