November 1 Belarus has temporarily closed the border to foreigners

Entry through border checkpoints for cars, train stations, river ports and simplified checkpoints is prohibited. However, the ban does not apply to flights through Minsk airport. The restrictions were allegedly taken to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

No restrictions apply to foreigners: travel with diplomatic and service passports; heads and members of official delegations; people providing unpaid international aid in Belarus; drivers dedicated to the transport of goods or international mail; train drivers and crews on international travel; Spouses, parents or children of Belarusian citizens; foreigners with a permanent or temporary residence permit in Belarus; with a work permit; go to the funeral of seriously ill relatives or go to the funeral of relatives; aliens transporting stem cells or donor organs for transplantation; Russian citizens in transit through Belarus to Russia; for foreigners in transit under the agreement between Belarus and Ukraine on simplified travel at the Slavutich-Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
