“I’m very sorry,” said Laura D. from Vilnius.
Laura D. is known to the capital’s police officers: the young woman has already been convicted three times: of smuggling, possession of drugs for her own use and theft. And this time, she also received a fourth conviction: for robbing a customer from a bar, the court sentenced her to 30 days in prison. As she was detained for up to 48 hours immediately after the robbery, the court reduced her detention sentence by 2 days.
In addition, Judge Giedrė Telksnienė, who examined the criminal case, awarded compensation of 300 euros to the victim Laura D. He owed so much to the customer of the bar from which he robbed. Part of the stolen money, 100 euros, was returned by the woman to the man at the bar, he hid it behind her bra.
The woman was prosecuted after the incident on the morning of August 25, around 7:20, on Islandijos street in the capital. in the history bar. When one of the customers went out to smoke, the woman took the wallet that belonged to her, which the man had left on the table. It was 700 euros, but the woman decided to take only part of the money.
What actually happened in the bar that morning can only be guessed because the stories of the prosecuted woman and her victim were very different.
During an interview, Laura D. admitted to police investigators that she had problems with alcohol consumption: That night I was alone at the bar, where I drank tequila and beer. “
The woman said she had no plans to steal anything, but was unable to control herself when she saw a man’s wallet left by a customer on the table.
“There were no people at the table, so I was tempted to kidnap her,” Laura D. took her wallet and went to the bathroom at the bar. And when he opened his wallet, he realized that he had become rich: there was more than a 100 euro bill.
“I can’t tell you how many there were, because I just took a bill out of my wallet, I hid it behind my bra,” the woman said. – The wallet also had a clear polyethylene bag that was filled with white powder. I decided to flush them down the toilet. I was about to go back to the bar, but then I heard a noise, someone started yelling, “Where’s my wallet?” I was scared so I put my wallet on the floor next to the bathroom and walked out of the bathroom. “
Not wanting to arouse suspicion, Laura G. returned to the table where she had sat earlier, but soon caught the attention of the robbed man, who found a wallet in the toilet.

“When he approached me, he immediately opened his wallet and started shouting out loud, ‘Where are the drugs?'” He said. – He was also outraged that the portfolio was missing 300 euros, but it was the one that worried him the least. He said, “I don’t need that money, I can keep it to myself, just give me the drugs because I paid a lot for them.” I didn’t know what to do, so I admitted that I flushed the drugs down the toilet and only took a 100 euro bill out of my wallet. “
According to the thief, the victim did not believe his story, but repeated what he had done with drugs.
“I wanted to get out of the bar and I walked towards the exit, but he ignored me and closed the door of the bar, he did not let me go and started threatening me, ‘I will not give you drugs, we will take you to the forest and kill you there,'” he said. Laura D. to the police. He started calling someone on the phone and the caller asked me to come as soon as possible because he would have to get me out. I was very scared and I called the general emergency number 112 and asked for help to get the police to come. “
When the police arrived at the bar, the woman went to the bathroom and took 100 euros from her bra; He adored that he no longer took it and gave it to the victim.
The man, who was robbed from the bar at the time, said nothing about the stolen drugs during questioning; It would have been obvious that if he had informed the officials that the drugs had been stolen from him, he would have been prosecuted.
The victim said his wallet cost € 700.
“I had gone out to smoke, I left my wallet on the table and when I came back, it was gone,” he said. – Then I noticed that the girl sitting nearby went to the bathroom and locked herself in, I suspected that she had stolen her wallet and I went to the bathroom to hide it. When I approached the bathroom, I walked to the door, but it didn’t open, so I forced the door open, the girl was standing in the bathroom and my wallet was lying on the floor. When I checked the wallet, there were 400 euros missing, so I tried to talk to the pretty girl, but she did not return the money, she said she was with another girl to whom she gave the money ”.

The man admitted that later, when the theft came to be investigated by police, the girl gave away 100 euros.
“Because I was robbed, the staff contacted the bar manager, who saw the videos and reported that the girl took the wallet from the bar table, put it in her purse and went to the bathroom,” the victim said.
He could not say why he did not call the police, which the girl accused of robbery did. It is true that Laura D., who called the general help line, did not admit that she had robbed a customer from a bar; she asked for help and said that she had been wrongfully accused of theft.
Laura D. was examined by the police with a breathalyzer and it turned out to be 1.79 per thousand drunk. He promised to compensate the victim within half a year, although it is unclear whether this will be the case: the woman does not work anywhere, is repeatedly administratively punished, but does not pay fines.
