This Friday and Saturday 4-5 September, at the Autobazar exhibition of the Lithuanian Congress and Exhibition Center Litexpo, a black Volkswagen Passat will be exhibited at the stand of Tukada, a company specialized in commercial and special transport equipment. From the outside, it’s a low-key sedan, but inside, it hides a lot of modern technology for disciplining offenders on the highways, which will be used by state border guards.

The most powerful diesel engine in the Passat range is hidden under the hood. The two-liter unit with two turbines reaches 240 hp, it is all-wheel drive. Although the car can accelerate to 100 km / h in 6 seconds and is capable of accelerating to 247 km / h, the officers will have no need to use the potential as soon as they see the offender. The car will be used to patrol and monitor road traffic, and the US system will detect violations automatically.

The Radars installed by Tukada can not only measure the speed of approaching and moving cars, but also recognize the numbers that are automatically added to the system. The car will not only be able to detect cases of speeding without the intervention of officials. The status number scanned for each car will automatically be sent to a server that will check if the machine has liability insurance or has a valid technical inspection.

Additionally, the system, which reads and verifies all license plates, will highlight to officials those cars that have already faced law enforcement. If a particular car goes down in history that, for example, its driver was drunk, officials will be able to point it out and inspect it. Stolen cars will also be seen.

Officials of the State Border Guard Service will patrol you not only in the border section, but also throughout the territory of Lithuania. In most cases, they won’t even have to stop drivers for violations, a system connected to the country’s database will automatically detect violations, and Tukada has installed wireless monitoring systems to make it easier for those who work on the car to process them. .

The black Volkswagen Passat, fittingly, is armed with hidden red and blue LED beacons that are visible from the front, side and rear. It has a speaker, video cameras, sound recording equipment in the cabin.

At AutoBazar, Tukada will also showcase other special service cars and custom commercial vehicles.
