This is a response to appropriate measures against Russia, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Moscow. According to him, individuals will be penalized.

Last month, the EU imposed sanctions on people around Russian President Vladimir Putin, under pressure mainly from the governments of Berlin and Paris. Russia denies being involved in the Navaln poisoning.

The 44-year-old Kremlin critic A. Navalnas was poisoned in August. He lost consciousness when he flew from Tomsk to Moscow and was flown to Berlin a few days after being hospitalized in Omsk.

According to Germany, toxicological tests “conclusively prove” that A. Navaln was poisoned with the paralyzing substance “Novičiok”. These findings were confirmed by two laboratories in France and Sweden.

Navaln accuses Putin of organizing an attack against him.
