“We all understand that joint declarations are good, agriculture must be more competitive, we must strengthen medium farms, we must also address social problems in rural areas, because there are small farms to deal with, we want to focus on economies of scale and fight for the survival of only the largest farms, but that the villages and towns are half empty. These are quite complex issues, and if you add Lithuania’s green program, all this requires a very clear vision from the candidate, in which direction he should move Lithuania in the next 4 years ”, added the president.

When asked if she expected a better candidate, Nausėda said that sometimes “a person with some distance can more easily understand what the priorities are.”

“Sometimes the paradox lies in the fact that a person at a distance (…) may find it easier to understand what those priorities are, because a person who has been simmering in the local routine for many years, sometimes does not You can take the flight of a bird and observe, in which direction we are moving and where is the perspective of Lithuanian agriculture ”, said the president.
