The creators have also been chosen to work for the benefit of Lithuanian authors on the Association Council for four years.
22 authors applied for 6 seats on the Council, most of them composers of serious and popular music. Music author R. Naujanytė-Bjelle received the most votes. Film director Donatas Ulvydas, music authors Leonas Somovas, Laurynas Šarkinas, Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano and Gintaras Zdebskis also joined the Council.
LATGA members also elected a president. The composer Faustas Latėnas, the musical authors L. Somovas, L. Šarkinas, S. Stavickis-Stano, R. Naujanytė-Bjelle, G. Zdebskis applied for the important position. R. Naujanytė-Bjelle was elected President.
During the event, LATGA honored 10 artists who made Lithuania famous: director Oskaras Koršunovas, filmmaker Arūnas Matelis, artist Stasys Eidrigevičius, composer Bronius Kutavičius and others.
At the end of the electoral passions, the authors were invited to symbolically celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary.
