Mushrooms look for mushrooms in forests, and the police look for mushrooms

On September 9 alone, three missing people had to be found in the Kretinga district. Among them was the 1928-born grandmother. She went to the forest by bus early in the morning. In the afternoon, the woman realized that she was lost and called the police. The elders were looking for a couple of crews. After a few hours of searching, they found her and, with the necessary help, they brought her home with two buckets of mushrooms.

In 1953 the wife of the born husband went to the police. The diabetic spouse called her and told her she was lost and was feeling bad. A few hours later, police officers found the man lying in the woods and sent the ambulance to the doctors.

1959 The search for the born woman was complicated by the fact that the cell phone was downloaded and it became very difficult to trace her whereabouts. The search lasted almost four hours before the woman’s spouse informed the police that the wife had returned home herself.

Police officers are always ready to help search for the missing, but remember that the forest must be prepared responsibly, Klaipėda County Police reports.

First of all, before going to the forest, it is advisable to inform your relatives clearly and as precisely as possible where and for how long you plan to grow mushrooms. The mobile phone must be fully charged; According to the signal recorded by the mobile communication towers, the Lithuanian police can determine their preliminary location, which helps to narrow the search area. It is advisable to dress in brightly colored clothing; This makes it easier to notice a person both when walking through the woods and when looking through the air. The bright, light-reflecting vests that we all must wear in cars are also perfect for this – clothes that fit in your pocket can save your life if lost. A shiny bucket or basket of forest goods can also become an element that distinguishes you from the environment.

If you get lost, it is advisable to be as open as possible, have a whistle to inform you of your location and a light, lighter or matches. Helicopters searching for people are equipped with cameras to help detect heat-emitting objects, and pilots use night vision devices when flying at night, so the smaller light source can make searching easier.

Police officers also remind that it is not possible to trade forest products collected from the roadsides, especially on the highway. This must be done in accordance with established procedures and at the point of sale.
