Legendary series director Saulius Vosylius told Delfi about the loss on Wednesday morning and recounted a strange coincidence.

“Around 10 in the morning they called me and told me. Surprisingly, last night I saw the rerun of the series “Familiares”. I turned on the television and just showed the scene with her. Coincidence. Well, we’ve been dating him for a long time. Our conversations were only on the phone, because he was already seriously ill … Although he never showed that it was difficult, it did him no good. His whole life was full of optimism and even in the most difficult moments of his life he was always full of optimism and joy. He was a man who had never caused a problem to anyone in his life.

As early as 1993 In April we started filming “Relatives”, appeared in the first episode of the series. At first, he was assigned a small and episodic role, because he is not a professional actor, he is a poet, a director. They also sang, played. Since I had known him on television for many years and he seemed like an interesting character, we decided to give him the role of the farmer’s son, Juozas Šeputis, in the series. We quickly realized what a truly beautiful character he is. So both Bronius Bush and I started writing him a lot of episodes. For the most part, the series was successful precisely because of the character of Juozas Šeputis. It was extremely expressive. Peter was different from professional actors in a way, but he was a very real, down to earth, organic and professional man.

I know he had more than one illness, but he never complained. Even in the last “Familiares. Life goes on ”came the shoot with a pacemaker. But he never complained that it was bad for him. Sometimes, just when I involuntarily patted his hand, he would remind me, “Instead, don’t kill me, a stimulant.”

He also wrote song lyrics and has published many books of poetry. Their tails are sincere, interesting. Communicating with him was always fun because he was full of humor and fantasy. And it was easy with him on the filming site, because he still had suggestions, ”said S. Vosylius about the series.

Meanwhile, the news about the death of a colleague was unexpected for actor Julius Žalakevičius, who played with P. Dimša in the series “Dapka and Butka”.

“I knew she was sick, but I hadn’t heard that she had died … We saw it a long time ago, but we always passed on wishes to each other through close people. I remember it only well. She was always cheerful, with a smile on her face. He had many stories, he was a good comedian, he was very good at playing the harmonica, even though I seem self-taught. They took that instrument and it was already fun. He was always full of ideas, advice that only benefited him, because he really had an eye and an inner sense of humor. It is a pity that this has happened. Condolences to all those close to him and those who knew him, ”said the Delfi actor.

V. Mainelytė, who co-starred in the series “Relatives” with P. Dimša, does not hide that she feels uncomfortable over time, as more and more colleagues are leaving Anapilin little by little. Read her interview by clicking here.

The urn of the deceased will be anchored in the church of Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis in Vilnius on Thursday 10 September. from 4 to 9 pm Friday, September 11. 12 pm the urn will be taken to Dzūkija, where the actor will be buried.
