For example, if a family is raising 2 children and the father and mother earn only the minimum monthly wage, the family would be entitled to compensation for heating the house according to preliminary calculations. A family with such a composition would also be entitled to compensation for the heating of the house if one of the parents earned an average monthly salary and the other was unemployed and unemployed.

With the approval of the Seimas, the modifications would take effect in 2022. January 1.

AS IT IS NOW. The poor are reimbursed for the portion of the heating tax that exceeds 10%. the difference between the income of the family or a resident and the size of the VRP. The amount of 1 VRP (128 EUR) multiplied by the number of family members per month is deducted from the income “held” by the family, and the amount of 1.5 VRP (192 EUR) per month is deducted from the income received by a resident per month.

The usable area standard is used to calculate the compensation:

· When a resident declares (rents) a place of residence: 50 m2;

· When the place of residence is declared (rented) by the family: for the first member of the family – 38 m2; second – 12 m2; for the third and each subsequent – 10 m2.

For example, a low-income family of 4 would be reimbursed for heating costs for a usable area of no more than 70 m2.
