Police officers who arrived at the crime scene around 8 a.m. Wednesday found the body of a woman with stab wounds. The murdered woman’s son, born in 1994, was arrested on the spot. He himself reported the crime to officials.

“Yes, she is a teacher at the J. Balčikonis gymnasium. I can’t say exactly how it happened, but the police called to say that we no longer have a teacher. She had three children. He beat his mother and set the house on fire, “said Raimondas Dambrauskas, director of the J. Balčikonis Gymnasium, who mentioned his son’s behavior.

We don’t understand much yet, but the event itself is terrible. We live in an age where you don’t know what to expect when children start killing their parents. Perhaps this is also a consequence of the COVID-19 disease, ”said R. Dambrauskas.
A warm man
The English teacher also worked in the Panevėžys branch of the American English School.
The head of the Laimutė Aužbikavičienė branch revealed that the murdered teacher had worked in his team for more than 10 years.
“His main job was at the J. Balčikonis gym. And he gave us all his heart. She was an extremely warm man. Everyone who had to study or work with her loved her. I would definitely describe her as a capital specialist, because she had a very interesting teaching methodology, ”said L. Aužbikavičienė about the teacher.
The director of the Panevėžys section of the American English School confirmed that the son of the murdered teacher had already been involved in law enforcement.
“A few years ago, her son set the apartment on fire. We offered to give her a hand, but then the gym director J. Balčikonis, the teachers, helped her. They always helped her in the event of a disaster,” L. Aužbikevičienė told the portal news JP.

The child suspected of murdering his mother is arrested and locked up in the detention center of the Panevėžys Police Chief Commissariat. They will probably take him to the Panevėžys District Court tomorrow to arrest him.
