An invitation to sign the contract was sent to Salvinta, which will build military cities in Šilalė and Vilnius districts. The development of the military city of Šiauliai was entrusted to the company “Partnership Projects Four”.

According to the ministry, the offers of these companies were the most profitable.

According to the data from the Registry Center, the Salvinta company is managed by Sigita Survilaitė-Mekionienė, the shareholder of the company is the real estate development group Darnu group (formerly MG Valda) managed by the MG Baltic company.

The company “Partnership Projects Four” is managed by Artūras Klangauskas, its shareholder is the real estate company “Eika”.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, this is the first time that acquisitions in the national defense system have been made through a public-private partnership.

“Having started this complex and long-term project, the Ministry of National Defense has also started a completely new stage in the development of the infrastructure of the Lithuanian Armed Forces,” said National Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis in the report.

According to him, at this stage the goal is to increase Lithuania’s combat capabilities and ensure physical infrastructure.

In Šiauliai an infantry battalion of Duke Margiris of the Lithuanian Army Motorized Infantry Brigade “Žemaitija” will be established.

The infrastructure for the Artillery Battalion of Brigadier General Motiejus Pečiulionis of the Žemaitija Brigade will be created in the coastal town of Šilalė district.

The Prince Vaidotas Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the Iron Wolf Mechanized Infantry Brigade will be deployed in the village of Rokantiškės in the Vilnius district.

“Barracks, barracks, canteens, sports and leisure facilities, medical points, repair shops and all other facilities necessary for the military infrastructure will be built in the three new military camps,” according to the report.

The state will allocate about 164 million. The association agreement is scheduled to be signed for 15 years, until 2035.

The infrastructure should be ready in two and a half years.

KAM announces that the project developers have been selected in close collaboration with the Central Agency for Project Management and the Office of Public Procurement.

The signing of the agreement is scheduled for the end of December this year, following additional procedural steps.

The Ministry of National Defense announced the selection of a private partner for the construction of three military campuses and the provision of public services last March.

According to the ministry, seven Lithuanian and foreign companies participated in the competition.
