In 1936, a record was set for June 22 at 31.2 degrees.
In Latvia, due to the anomalous heat in one of the official bathing places, Lake Babytė, the water warmed up to 25 degrees, and in the Daugava River, near Kipsala Island, up to 22 degrees, reported the municipality of the capital to the BNS news agency.
We are likely to get new records in Lithuania in the next few days. On Monday and Tuesday, a heat of 35 degrees is forecast in some areas of Lithuania.
