COVID-19 was diagnosed for the second time at the Panevėžys Klaipėdos street store, who had previously had close contact with another store employee who had the virus. Last visited at work on August 1. Another case was diagnosed by employees of the store located on Kaunas V. Krėvės Avenue, who were on vacation and had not visited work since July 15.
“We regret that the coronavirus was detected in two more of our employees. We are in constant contact with our sick colleagues, who are now in isolation and are recovering at home, ”said Ernesta Dapkienė, Director of the Communication and Corporate Affairs Department at Maxima.
An employee of the Panev tiendažys store, who learned about COVID-19 diagnosed by another employee of the same store, she and seven other employees, who may have been in contact with the patient, were turned over to the home for self-isolation and testing. The results of seven self-isolated workers were negative.
According to E. Dapkienė, the employee of the Panevėžys store only had contact with the same employees who are currently in self-isolation.
An employee at the Kaunas store had previously been in close contact with a family member, a Maxima employee operating on Kaunas Pramonės Avenue, for whom the coronavirus was confirmed on August 2.
To date, 486 Maxima employees have been tested for coronavirus: 457 tests were negative and 16 were positive. Seven workers are already recovered and nine are in self-isolation. The answers of the tests of thirteen employees are still pending, four of whom have been registered prophylactically when the municipalities organize these surveys.
