However, the mayor noted that so far there is no information that the cases of COVID-19 are related to the events that occurred in the Žalgiris arena.
“This in itself shows that under the current conditions, the arena staff has so far managed to guarantee people’s safety. The list of implemented actions and preventive measures is really long and is constantly being supplemented,” he says.
According to data from the municipality, during events at the “Žalgiris” stadium in Kaunas the temperature of visitors is controlled with thermal imaging cameras, more security guards work inside. Since the start of the season, the number of spectators has been reduced and everyone sits in second place, and the use of masks is controlled.
No food or drinks are allowed in the stands so visitors can wear masks at all times, and standing seats are not waived at concerts.
The Euroleague announces that 5,131 spectators have arrived at Thursday’s game.
