Gytis Masiulis, who has spent the past two seasons on Klaipeda’s Neptune, is beginning his career as a legionary.
According to the BasketNews.lt website, Masiulis has signed a contract with the Frankfurt Skyliners team until the end of the season. Edgaras Pulkovskis, journalist for krepsinis.net, was the first to publish this message.
In the summer, the fate of Masiulis will be decided by Kaunas “Žalgiris”, who has the opportunity to extend cooperation for another season.
The German championship will resume on June 6. Skyliners will compete in Group B alongside Vechta RASTA, Roka Giedraitis represented by ALBA in Berlin, Brose in Bamberg and MHP Riesen in Ludwigsburg.
Before stopping the German championship season, the Skyliners were 14th with 6 wins and 15 losses.
Group A will feature Bayern Munich, Merlins Krailsheim, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, Basket Gottingen and Ratiopharm Ulm.
This season, LKL Masiulis scored 10.3 points on an average of 23 minutes, recovered with 4.1 balls and scored 14 utility points.
In the FIBA Champions League, the 22-year-old forward scored 11.1 points in 22 minutes and recovered after 5.2 balls.
